The Bronze Protomes of the Fontana Maggiore at Perugia

Twelve bronze protomes deliver the water of the Fontana Maggiore from the upper basin to the lower basin, eight of which are original to 1279. Among these we have lion, leopard, wolf, his female partner, gazelle, horse, bull, and boar. The pigeons as you can see find them excellent perches.
